Meet Our Master Teachers

According to the SUNY website, the Master Teacher program was inspired to bolster K-12 STEM education. “Responding to the call to strengthen our nation’s K-12 STEM education, Governor Andrew M. Cuomo launched the New York State Master Teacher Program (NYSMTP) in partnership with The State University of New York and Math for America. The NYSMTP celebrates the work of the highest-performing STEM teachers by establishing an expert community dedicated to developing expertise in the areas of content, pedagogy, and students’ families and communities.” Becoming a Master Teacher requires four-year participation in the Program.

Gansevoort PBIS Kickoff

The Gansevoort Gators are officially a PBIS school! Today, September 14, was dedicated to the PBIS (Positive Behavior Intervention and Support) kickoff. The day began with an assembly welcoming and explaining what it means to be a PBIS school and introducing gator bucks! A very special gator guest was present during the assembly.
