This school year, RCSD’s Equity Task Force (ETF) is partnering with ACCESS Global Group to host monthly AREA community conversations about diversity and equity in the district and the quality of learning for all. The aim of these conversations is to build Authentic Relationships Building Equity for All (A.R.E.A.) by highlighting the lived experiences of those most marginalized, specifically those that are Black, Indigenous, People of Color, LGBTQ members, differently abled, and/or low socio-economic status.

Denti Presents: 101 Dalmatians Kids

Louis V. Denti Elementary School’s Drama Club has been working on a socially distanced musical since the middle of March. They were able to present Disney’s 101 Dalmatians KIDS for limited audiences on May 25th and May 26th. The high-energy 30-minute musical, designed for elementary school-aged performers, is based on the classic Dodie Smith novel and the beloved Disney films. ​

NASA has scheduled the downlink with the International Space Station for SUNY Plattsburgh’s Shine On! Look to the Stars conference during Expedition 65 on May 6, 2021. The downlink is part of a one-day virtual conference available to all PK-8 classrooms throughout New York state and is slated to feature NASA astronauts Megan McArthur and Shane Kimbrough, members of NASA’s Space X Crew-2.
