Alexandra Tapia Signs Letter of Intent to Play Lacrosse at The College of Saint Rose

On November 10, RFA Senior Alexandra Tapia signed her letter of intent to play Division II Lacrosse for the Golden Knights at The College of Saint Rose. She plays attack position on the RFA Lacrosse team. “I picked the College of Saint Rose because when I met my coach and teammates for the first time, knew I liked the environment and it satisfied my major,” said Tapia.

“Watching you grow up from a quiet 8th grader on JV to signing to play lacrosse at the next level, we couldn’t be prouder,” said Coach Nick Medicis.

“I have to say I couldn’t be prouder of this young lady. I was really hard on her every year to speak up, find the assist, attack the goal. She never once barked back and just kept on building her game…Alex will make our Rome girls lacrosse program very proud,” said Coach Doug Rowe.

Tapia is a three-sport athlete at RFA (indoor track, gymnastics, and lacrosse).

Parents, Chris and Trish Tapia of Rome and Alex’s grandmother, Robin Tapia, friends of Alex and Coach Nick Medias and Doug Rowe were on hand.
