Congratulations to Isabella Wood - 8th grade and Austin Howard -10th grade, representing RFA at NYSPHSAA Alpine Skiing Championships at Bristol Mt. on February 27 & 28. Austin finished 15th in Slalom, 2 run combined time and 24th for Giant Slalom, 2 run combined time. Bella tied for 44th in 1st run Slalom (DNF second run slalom) and 36th for Giant Slalom, 2 run combined time. Slalom is skiing in a zigzag or wavy course between single poles. Giant slalom is a race for skiers on a longer and steeper course than that used for the regular slalom. - Melissa O'Rourke, coach.
