Wednesday Worker of the Week
Alicia D’Alessandro, First Grade Teacher, Stokes Elementary
How long have you worked in the RCSD?
This is my 20th year.
What do you like most about your job?
I absolutely love watching all students learn in each of the subject areas, that “ah-ha” moment means everything!
What inspires you?
The learning culture created in the building and the relationships built with the students’ families are such a positive inspiration and truly a wonderful part of my job.
What is a fun fact about you?
I have two children that are students in the Rome City School District (one in elementary school and one in middle school) and I see first-hand how amazing their teachers are and have been through the years. I am very proud to be part of this Team.
"Mrs. D’Alessandro goes above and beyond for her students. She keeps me informed how my child is doing any concerns at all she may have. I truly feel she partners with us to have the best possible learning experience for our child! If I have a question or any concern she always been there to help, that shows how important her kids in the classroom are to her. She’s is more than a teacher to her kids in the classroom and to the parents. She is a blessing to have as part of all our learning!," said Amanda Grimm, parent.
