The Black Knights Varsity Winterguard made a spectacular debut this season, defeating last year's IRA champions, the Oswego Winterguard, in their first competition. The team achieved their highest debut score in program history, surpassing the previous record set during last season's opener.

This season’s production, “STAN LEE,” is a tribute to the legendary comic book creator and his iconic characters that have shaped popular culture. The team, under the leadership of director Lindsay Durham, assistant director Mathew Cress, and instructors Joshua Frisbee, Jamie Mazur, and Melissa Jackson, delivered a performance that captured the spirit of Stan Lee’s famous motto, “Excelsior!”—meaning “ever upward.”

Looking ahead, the Junior Varsity team will debut their 2025 show, “Let It Grow,” this weekend at Phoenix High School.

Congratulations to the Black Knights Varsity Winterguard on their outstanding start, and best of luck to the JV team as they take the stage!
