About Sierra

Sierra Raux joined the Rome City Schools as an Athletic Trainer in August 2024. Prior to this, she graduated as a physical therapist assistant from Edison College, in Ohio, in 2024.

Raux earned her undergraduate degree in athletic training from Canisius College in 2019. She gained clinical experience working with the college’s men’s lacrosse, baseball, and women’s basketball, and Erie Community College working alongside the football team. While at Canisius, she was a member of the Iota Tau Alpha Honor Society and the swimming and diving team.

My goal for student athletes is to not only safely return them to play from injury, but to educate them so they can be a participant in their rehabilitation process. To know one's body and what an athlete can do to avoid future injuries is critical to an athlete’s success.
