In light of an individual sharing a post online, the Rome City School District, in collaboration with the Rome Police Department, would like to clarify and confirm there is no threat to our school district. The social media post originated in Rome, Georgia, specifically involving Floyd County Schools.
Safety in our district will always be our number one priority, and we want to thank
the community for making us aware of the post so we can act accordingly. District families and community members are encouraged to report any concerns or suspicious activities to school and district administrators or law enforcement immediately.
