On Friday, November 22, 2024, the Rome City School District proudly welcomed New York State Board of Regents member Patrick Mannion during his visit to area schools.
At Rome Free Academy, Regent Mannion was joined by MOBOCES District Superintendent and CEO Scott Budelmann, Rome Superintendent Nerlande Anselme, RFA Principal Brian LeBaron, Board of Education President Cassie Knutti, and RFA senior Rachel Catella. Together, they toured STEM classrooms to explore hands-on student projects and visited math and government classes to gain insight into the engaging learning experiences taking place.
The Board of Regents oversees New York State’s public education system, including the New York State Education Department and the State University of New York system. Regent Mannion represents our region on this influential governing body.
