The Rome City School District will hold its 2025-26 Kindergarten Registration: Monday, March 3rd through Friday, March 7th
Times: 9:30 am to 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm
All Kindergarten registrations will take place at your child’s home school, except for evening registration on 3/5/25 (see below).
Home school is determined by your address. For questions about which school your child will attend, please call the Central Registrar’s Office at 315-338-6569.

Wednesday, March 5th
3:00 pm - 6:00 pm
LOCATION: District Office, 409 Bell Road, Rome, NY
The following must be provided at the time of registration:
· Proof of age (such as birth certificate, baptismal certificate, passport, or proper transfer papers). (Your child must be 5 on or before December 1, 2025, to register for Kindergarten)
· Record of current immunizations
· 3 Proofs of residency (See charts below for requirements)
· Custody papers, if the child is not residing with both parents. If the child will be residing with the non-custodial parent, then a parent affidavit will need to be filled out and submitted prior to registration
Please Note:
If your child is currently attending the Rome City School District Pre-K program at Clough, or MVCAA-Rome Head Start please submit 3 new proofs of residency with your Intent to Register Form provided by your child’s teacher.
Any child who will be 6 on or before December 1, 2025 must be registered for school and will be placed in the appropriate grade level.
Proof of Residency Requirements for Rome City School District Registration
The parent/guardian must provide three (3) forms of proof to include at least one item from Regulation 7003.1 Chart 1 and two (2) items from Regulation 7003.1 Chart 2. The residence listed must be consistent with all submitted documents.
