On May 2nd, Rome Free Academy (RFA) Senior Imani Pugh signed her National Letter of Intent to run NCAA Division 1 track and field in the fall for the University of Pennsylvania.
Imani Pugh, who has competed in varsity track and field for four years, will pursue a major in Biology/Pre-Med.
Among those present were her RFA Track and Field Coaches, Nicholas Jeror and Diane Stevenson, and volunteer assistant Nate Oczkowski; her mom, Jerilyn Pugh; her dad, Thomas Pugh; boyfriend, Josiah Holmes; and AAU Track and Field Coach Jim Peterson, who prepared her for the Junior Olympics. Pugh holds records in indoor and outdoor track and field.
Pugh also participated in swimming, tennis, and basketball.
The National Letter of Intent (NLI) is a document used to indicate a student athlete’s commitment to participating in National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) colleges and universities in the United States.
