Letter to Students and Parents

Dear RFA Students and Parents:

Below are some specific dates and times for many of the upcoming fall events involving RFA students and parents. Our goal is to keep all families well informed because it is much easier to plan when dates are provided prior to the start of school. I hope all families are enjoying the summer!

 

AUGUST:

 

9th Grade Orientation:

Date: Tuesday, August 30th

Location: Large Auditorium:

Time slots:

9:00-10:30 - Freshman A-F Kelly and Brian (Dan and Kristie present)

12:00-1:30 - Freshman G-O Kristie and Brian (Kelly and Dan present)

3:00-4:30 - Freshman P-Z Dan and Brian (Kelly and Kristie present)

 

9th Grade Orientation Tour on August 30th:

Once the presentation of student expectations in the auditorium is over, we will move all kids and parents to the cafeteria and review, with a short video taken last school year, the rules and expectations of the cafeteria. Schedules will be available after all has been accomplished. 

SEPTEMBER

 

First home football game:

Friday, September 2nd vs. New Hartford

 

Superintendent's Conference Days #1 and #2: RFA Staff Only (No Students) 

Dates: 9/1 and 9/6

 

RCSD K-12 Half-day: 

Monday, September 26th

Dismissal at 11:20

BOCES Schedule at a later date

 

Student start dates:

**Wednesday, September 7th9th graders only**

Thursday, September 8th: All students’ grades 9-12 report to school

 

Picture Dates:

Tuesday, September 13th

Wednesday, September 14th

Makeups: Tuesday, October 25th 

 

Open House at RFA:

Wednesday, September 14th

Time: 5:00-7:00

 

Homecoming:

Friday, September 30th (RFA vs. Elmira)

Homecoming Dance Saturday, October 1st (7:00-10:30)

 

OCTOBER

SAT I & SAT II Test Date Saturday, October 1st, 2022 Registration Deadline Sept. 2nd

 

BOCES Half day #1

Columbus Day,
