Students at Strough recently attended a PBIS (Positive Behaviors in School) assembly in the school.
“We challenged students to give more attention to being polite and respectful,” said Tonia Davis, Assistant Principal. In the first week of February, each 7th grade team reviewed their social contracts and facilitated role playing skits teaching how polite and respectful behaviors look and sound. “Any student that did not receive a referral for the unwanted behaviors was able to attend a team activity in the auditorium in March, said Davis.
The 7th graders were rewarded for positive behaviors and participated in a Blooket (educational trivia game) with other peers. The Blooket game included questions about the staff, academics and PBIS expectations.
