The Rome City School District is committed to fostering a positive learning environment and prioritizes both campus safety and student attendance.
As required by the NYS Safe Schools Against Violence in Education (SAVE) Act legislation, also known as Project SAVE, Rome maintains a District-Wide Safety Plan and a Code of Conduct. The Rome Board of Education has also developed an Attendance Protocol outlining state requirements for student attendance and procedures to address absenteeism. Public feedback is welcome.

The public can submit feedback on these documents until August 23, 2024.
Board Vote:
The Board of Education will review and vote on these documents on August 26, 2024.
Ongoing Feedback:
The community is encouraged to continue providing feedback after August 26, as these plans are reviewed and re-approved annually.
